As is October and soon Halloween let us talk about Vampires and silver bullets.
Remember it is always good to PURGE any apps you do not use for a few reasons.
1) The space you get you could use for something else like images and video.
2) This doesn’t happen as often now, but apps have caused users to lose data.
3) The apps might be out of date anyway and not work.
We’ve been around long enough to know that there are no silver bullets when building apps.
For example
We love to use Flutter as a cross platform app. But it has a limitation if you want to delete files on the systems.
Then there is a WICKED battery drain. If we built our mapping apps in Flutter that would hog phone battery.
Compared to a natively written app Flutter would drain the phone much faster. Not what you want for a multiple hour long cycle ride.

The same can be said for camera usage. If you wanted to use a camera function in your app like streaming or object detection a native app will perform faster and use less battery.
Another example is you wanted to use face swapping on Apple devices… you can’t use Flutter.
However, there are times when it does make sense to use Flutter. When you want to build a cross platform booking system like Deliveroo or AirBnB where location is only required briefly.
The other good side to Apple native code is to get from an iPad app to Mac OS app just requires a little bit of work rather than a new codebase.
Heading into the future there is also the possibility you make want your app to run on Meta, Android or Apple XR devices.
