Steve was asked questions about AI and how it can be implemented in businesses. These are the answers.
The audience asked him these questions
“Do you have any predictions about the future?”
We think that the Smart Glass revolution will happen in 5 years. We’ve already had a year of the Meta Ray Bans smart glasses and all they need is to increase the battery life.
“Do you think AI will take all the jobs?”
No. I don’t think it is happening. AI is just being used to make people faster. Some AI systems are at the point were they can help and provide guidance like Gemini / Open AI / Co Pilot. That will give you a guide, but you can’t trust the output. Some people can get AI to write a blog post and they still need to check the output. AI Images with text are still not good enough and the same for AI video, I just don’t trust LLM’s because they lie or trained on outdated info.
“Can I use AI to develop an app?”
I wouldn’t recommend it. We tried a test last week. The first prompt MIGHT be fine and generate code that works or looks good. But the moment you try to change that code you will have problems. LLM’s are not capable of software development without huge hallucinations that break projects. The LLM’s tend to start removing fields or keys from the source code.
Nothing has changed in the last 12 months for us. LLM’s don’t understand that repositories have different versions and LLM’s are trained on old code that is deprecated now.
The LLM code, for now, is also be vulnerable to security issues more than code written and tested by a person.
