Start of Mobile App Talk Tour

UXManchester saw a brilliant turnout for Steve Hilton’s talk about Maximising UX for Mobile at SpaceportX on Wednesday.

Steve explained the various issues we experience on a daily basis when building high quality apps to improve lives. These can vary from battery optimisation to rendering fonts across different screen sizes.

This was not a talk for the developers as Steve took a high level approach avoiding technical details and focusing on user experience.

The talk was a huge draw with UXManchester seeing a 400% rise in attendance on their previous event and almost 200 people streamed the talk live on Periscope. If you couldn’t attend the talk you can watch it all in it’s entirety using Periscope. The link below includes 2 question & answer sessions.

Steve would like extend his gratitude to UXManchester organiser Agnes Bray for the opportunity to speak at the monthly event. He also has special praise for Auto Trader and the SpaceportX team for enabling the event to run without a hitch. Non of the attendees went hungry with a fantastic choice of pizzas, chicken wings and potato wedges.

Following that presentation Steve popped up at Manchester Girl Geeks on Saturday 9th July to repeat the talk to a different audience.
