    We’re Working With Warburtons

We are pleased to announce the successful development of two innovative mobile applications for Warburtons, aimed at enhancing their operational efficiency across the UK.

Product Code and Barcode Scanning App

This application enables users to utilise their smartphone cameras to scan product codes and barcodes in real-time, facilitating seamless inventory management. The app captures data instantly and synchronises it with Warburtons’ central system once an internet connection is available, ensuring up-to-date inventory records.

    Bread Quality Testing App

Deployed across 20 bakeries nationwide, this app allows for the systematic recording of bread quality assessments. Users can upload images and videos to document any issues, promoting consistent quality control and swift resolution of potential problems.

These applications reflect Warburtons’ commitment to leveraging technology for operational excellence and product quality assurance.

We are honoured to work with one of the UK’s biggest brands due to the Warburtons philosophy to provide honest good sense on issues of health and well-being, helping the whole family to enjoy the product range as part of a healthy, balanced diet, through a range of products to suit all meal occasions, lifestyles and tastes.

Warburtons is a British baking firm founded by Thomas Warburton in 1876 and based in Bolton, Lancashire. For much of its history Warburtons only had bakeries in Lancashire and it remains a family-owned company. Warburtons make five categories of products: Bread, Rolls, Bakery Snacks (including crumpets and potato cakes), Gluten Free and Weight Watchers.

  • Moment of the Year

    Moment of the Year

We have had many fantastic moments this year, but what really sticks out for us is an emotional story that started back in May.

We can still all remember the tragic events at the Manchester Arena and the new concert that was arranged. Steve was fortunate to get a standing ticket for the One Love Manchester event at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

In the days before One Love Manchester the Manchester Evening News ran a story that various families were upset at Ticketmaster who couldn’t get tickets for their children. These were children who had originally been in the Arena and affected by the attack. The day before the event Steve decided to pass on his ticket to a complete stranger over Twitter named knitswithbeer for no charge. Her real name was Tina and were surprised to find she already knew about Liberty Apps due to the Cycle Lancashire app on her phone.

As you can see Tina’s daughter Rebecca managed to get to the concert and watch Ariana Grande again.

We thought that was the end of the story until September when Steve was on a panel at Manchester Central Library.

On that day Steve was completely unaware that Tina & Rebeccca were in attendance to deliver socks and cakes. Steve was quite overwhelmed and the cakes were delicious.

    Steve finally meets Rebecca

  • Gardner Denver Inc

    Gardner Denver Inc

Liberty Apps was the obvious choice when Gardner Denver wanted to enhance their Internet of Things platform to operate via mobile devices.

Gardner Denver Inc are listed on the New York Stock Exchange with a revenue of $2.3 billion and were originally founded in 1859. They are an American worldwide provider of industrial equipment, technologies and related parts and services to a broad and diverse customer base through a family of brands. The company has over 30 manufacturing facilities and offices in 35 different countries.

Gardner Denver sells air compressors to resellers all over the globe with certain locations having limited electricity and data connectivity. In the worst places resellers had to travel upwards of 100 miles on rural tracks just to review any problem with a device. Gardner Denver requested that we solve the issue of how to access data in locations on mobile devices. At the same time we would integrate with an Internet of Things (IoT) platform and web portal.

We created a smartphone application to:

Enable users to quickly view their systems

Resellers now have a dashboard of any problems

    Provide maps of the locations

Resellers get driving directions to problematic compressors

    Send notifications on catastrophic errors

Resellers can see alerts from anywhere in the world
